Objective 1: Strong Start
● Plan Like A Champion- Core leaders attended summer
workshop to focus on areas of growth
○ Academic progress (School Improvement)
○ School culture and climate
(Discipline)-fighting/battery issue last year. If a
student does not engage in the fight, it is called
battery
○ Wildcat Way: New implementation this year.

Being Intentionally Excellent!
- Reading/Writing across the curriculum: School-widereading initiative writing strategy: promotes a high-quality piece of writing
- Collaborative planning: occurs weekly with administrative support and collaboration; implementing various instructional strategies; focusing on increasing student engagement and academic discourse
- Data analysis: Occurs during Leadership, Grade levels, and Collaborative Planning; Data board located in Data Room with MAP/GMAS. Intentional with each student’s data analysis..
- Rti-Tiered instruction focusing on the needs of students
- PROWL Time (IF): Two days of reading; one day of math; one day of social-emotional learning, and one day of writing
- PD How to facilitate student goal setting and student-led; Building student capacity and providing students with the ability to speak to their learning; identifying areas of strengths and weaknesse

Objective 2: Interim Assessments
- MAP is the interim assessments that will be given twice a year in math and reading to analyze growth
- DRC Beacon Reading serves the same purpose but is aligned to GMAS
- DRC Beacon Math serves the same purpose but is aligned to GMAS
○ DRC Beacon gives teachers an idea of how the
student will perform on GMAS
○ Helps gear REP courses for extra support |

Students who have 5 or more unexcused absences are
considered truant and may face legal consequences. Students
who accrue 10 or more unexcused absences for the year may
be retained. Opportunities for attendance recovery must be
provided to students, please see the attached document
"Attendance Recovery" for more information. Parents must
be notified two weeks prior to recovery opportunities.
- One school day can be recovered in 3 hours
- Cannot recover more than 10 days
- Additional information will be coming out
